I want to age like a mountain let time erode me smooth sink into green fields exhale stones into nearby rivers inhale the next century

no ocean speaks to me today I’m turned towards an older home over cold mountains, across sleeping fields to parents fighting time & shadow

where the clouds meet there is momentary merging exhalation of fog, salt sweet breath everything becomes one until the wind blows it apart

clouds tumble over themselves to reach the horizon first a thin place between ocean & sky that helps the eye separate those two blue spaces I’m in that thin place right now. No separation. No solid ground. I reach for words to steady me.
