Artifacts: Art Explorations, Experiments and Studies

I am an intuitive creator. I like to play with plaster, paint, paper, encaustics, inks . . .  You get the idea. Experimentation is key.  Most of my current 2D work is done on wood panels, a sturdy surface to layer up on and easy to hang.  Some of the pieces have accompanying poems and some are poems.

 

rain series

We have gone from the season of rain to the season of extreme dryness.  We constantly scan the sky and sniff the wind for signs of fire. I created these pieces when the sky was heavy with cloud and moisture.

These pieces are all 6x6 inches , mixed media on cradled panel: recycled paper, book pages, acrylic paint, pencil crayons, oil pastels.
