So I’m all set to melt and move waxy colors, dig, smear, embed, write and all the rest. My studio is equipped and I am ready to create.
Then a phone call Tuesday morning and my path shakes, veers. My father-in-law has passed away. He was ill but his passing was fast – and it happened on his birthday. What I remember about Jim is his laugh, big, booming, from deep inside. He meant it and shared it with us. There are a lot of memories to go through in the next few weeks as we say our farewells. The path has veered but it is still a path. At times like this we walk beside others, share a bit of our journey.
