I’ve been out in the field for a long time searching for inspiration. I’ve gone through Stephen King’s “On Writing” and Eric Maisel’s “Creativity for Life”. I’ve read mysteries, short stories, poetry and science fiction as well as literary journals like the Malahat Review. I have faced the blank page and the blank canvas and have dived beneath their surfaces. I have finally surfaced and am working on my writing and my art. I am breathing again.
One piece of inspiration: The National Parks Project. They have been playing half hour shows on television, briefly showing the collaboration of musician, film maker and landscape in some of Canada’s most beautiful national parks. Amazing. Beautiful. Inspirational.
